Juliette Goglia & Thomas Engagement Session at Table Rock Beach, Laguna Beach, CA.
Some sessions just feel effortless—in the best way. These two showed up as their true, unfiltered selves, and because of that, their photos tell a love story that’s completely theirs. From running barefoot in the sand to belly laughs and quiet, intimate moments, every shot was filled with so much joy, trust, and connection.
And let’s talk about that sunset—Laguna Beach really showed off for us. The sky turned golden, the waves rolled in just right, and everything about this evening felt like it was meant to be. We had so much fun, and you can feel it in every photo.
If you're newly engaged and want an engagement session that feels natural, fun, and totally YOU, let’s do this. I specialize in candid, romantic engagement photography in Laguna Beach and all over Orange County, and I’d love to tell your story next. 💛

Table Rock Beach Engagement Session in Laguna Beach
Table Rock Beach is one of those hidden gems in Laguna Beach that feels both dramatic and intimate at the same time. Tucked between cliffs and ocean coves, it creates the perfect setting for couples who want engagement photos that feel natural, emotional, and connected to the coast without the distractions of overly crowded beaches.
This session with Juliette and Thomas was the perfect example of why I love photographing here. The energy of Table Rock Beach brings out something really authentic in couples. Nothing feels overly posed or staged. Instead, it’s about movement, connection, and letting the environment guide the experience.
Why Table Rock Beach Is Perfect for Engagement Photos
One of the biggest reasons couples choose Table Rock Beach for their engagement session is the variety of scenery in one location. You get rugged cliffs, soft sandy areas, rocky textures, and open ocean views all within a short walking distance.
This allows us to create a full storytelling gallery without needing to travel far during your session. It also gives us flexibility depending on light, tide, and how crowded the beach feels that day.
As a Laguna Beach engagement photographer, I always look for locations that feel cinematic but still relaxed. Table Rock Beach does exactly that.
Natural, Candid Photography Style
During this session, the focus was less on posing and more on connection. I guide couples with simple prompts rather than stiff directions so everything feels natural and effortless.
Instead of asking you to “pose,” I’ll usually give direction like:
walk together and talk about your first date
pull each other in and just enjoy the moment
slow down and notice your surroundings together
This approach is what creates those in-between moments that feel the most real. The laughs, the quiet pauses, the movement between poses. Those are always the photos couples end up loving most.
Juliette and Thomas leaned into that experience perfectly. Their session felt easy, playful, and completely present in the moment.
Best Time of Day for Table Rock Beach
Lighting at Table Rock Beach changes everything. The cliffs and coastline react beautifully to warm light, especially during golden hour.
The best time for engagement photos here is typically:
1–2 hours before sunset for soft directional light
sunset for warm glow and ocean reflections
slightly after sunset for a more moody, cinematic tone
Depending on the season, I usually plan sessions carefully around both light and tide levels to make sure we have the best possible conditions for photos.
What to Wear for Table Rock Beach Engagement Photos
For coastal engagement sessions in Laguna Beach, styling plays a big role in how your photos feel.
Soft, neutral tones always photograph beautifully here. Think:
creams, whites, soft tans
muted earth tones
light blues or dusty pastels
Flowy fabrics also work especially well because they move naturally with the ocean breeze and add motion to your images.
I always recommend avoiding overly bold patterns or neon colors since they can distract from the natural beauty of the coastline.
Why Couples Love Engagement Sessions in Laguna Beach
Laguna Beach offers some of the most diverse coastal scenery in Southern California, which is why it’s one of my favorite places to photograph engagement sessions.
Locations like Table Rock Beach give couples a mix of adventure and intimacy. It feels like stepping into a moment that is just yours, even in a public space.
Many of my couples tell me they choose Laguna Beach because they want engagement photos that feel:
timeless rather than trendy
emotional rather than overly posed
natural rather than staged
That is exactly the experience I aim to create.
